The actress, who is currently shooting for Saif's maiden home production being directed by Imtiaz Ali, apparently took a few days off to be able to rush to Ooty and spend time with beau Ranbir Kapoor. The actor, who shares his birthday with the living legend, Lata Mangeshkar, is currently in Ooty shooting for Raj Kumar Santoshi's Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani
opposite Katrina Kaif. Deepika managed to get
a three-day break after shooting non-stop for a couple of weeks. Since she is quite particular about things like birthdays and anniversaries, it was a given that she would go all out of her way to do something special for the special someone in her life. The actor was naturally very surprised when Deepika flew down to be with him. He has been shooting for the last 40 days in Ooty and naturally was happy at not having to spend his birthday away from his loved ones. The birthday boy cut a cake with the unit and then spent a quiet dinner afterwards with Deepika. Quite touching, all of this.
